Elkem Carbon supplies speciality carbon products and services to pyro-metallurgical processes for the production of ferro-alloys, base metals and primary aluminium.
Elkem Carbon has been supplying Søderberg electrode paste and carbon electrodes to electric arc furnaces for the production of silicon, ferrosilicon, ferrochromium, ferronickel, ferromanganese, silicomanganese, calcium carbide and platinum matte for more than 90 years.
Furnace lining pastes and taphole repair pastes developed by Elkem Carbon have proved to extend the lifetime of furnace crucibles, beyond general expectations. We are committed to provide our customers with cathode blocks and cold ramming paste products that can help them extend cell lifetime, use less energy and increase their productivity.
Elkem carbon serves the ferro-alloys and primary alumiunium industries from its operations in Norway, South Africa, Brazil and China, complemented by a global network of sales network.
