Elmag® nodularisers
MgFeSi should be regarded as a speciality product in today’s environment of tight production schedules and quality requirements for cast iron foundries. Elmag® nodularisers are produced to narrow specifications compared to other materials available on the market. This ensures that the alloy recovery and consistency of the iron treatment process are maximised.
Elmag® nodularisers are 50% Si based ferroalloys produced to a wide range of specifications with defined levels of magnesium, calcium, rare earth metals (RE) and aluminium. Elkem produces close to 100 different chemistries, each of them being available in various sizes. This means that Elkem can offer a range of treatment alloys to suit the needs of just about every foundry production condition.
