Successful registration of Elkem Silicon Material's substances
Elkem hereby confirms that the following products have been successfully registered under REACH

Important message to our valued customers regarding the presence of substances of very high concern (SVHC) in Elkem's products:
ECHA regularly updates its SVHC candidate list. This is to confirm that the products of Elkem Silicon Materials do not contain SVHC in critical concentrations (> 0.1 %).

Confirmation of REACH compliance June 2010
According to REACH, all substances manufactured and/or imported in the EEA (European Economic Area) in quantities above 1 MT/year need to be registered.
Elkem Silicon Materials is fully aware of its obligations as a manufacturer and importer under REACH. Elkem Silicon Materials is joining the respective consortia in order to register all relevant substances of its product portfolio. Elkem Silicon Materials is joining the Si/FeSi/silica fume consortium for the silicon and microsilica products http://www.euroalliages.com and the IMnI-Manganese consortium for the Max (Mn3O4) products. http://www.mn-consortium.org

Preparations for the registration of substances in 2013 (tonnage band 100-1000 tpa) are in progress.
Pre-registration numbers and registration numbers
We can confirm the successful pre-registration/registration of the above mentioned substances. Due to the complex corporate structure of Elkem, consisting of several legal entities, we have actually received several pre-registration numbers for our products. In order to avoid any confusion, Elkem has decided NOT to publish the respective pre-registration numbers in the supply chain. The registration numbers of the above products are listed in section 1 of the corresponding safety data sheets (SDS), and product safety information (PSI), respectively.
