Important message to our valued customers
Safety data sheets are only required for substances and mixtures that meet the harmonised criteria for physical, health or environmental hazards (according to Chapter 1.5.2 of the UN Globally Harmonised System of classification and labelling of chemicals (GHS), Article 58 (2)(a), and Article 59(2)(b) of (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP), which amends REACH article 31(1)).
Neither Silicon, Microsilica, nor the Max-products are hazard-classified, and there is thus no need to provide SDS either.
Elkem will provide relevant HSE information on the various sales products on a voluntary basis.
These Product Safety Information sheets (PSI) will contain the same information as given in authentic SDS, but compliance with REACH, CLP and (EU) No. 453/2010 is not mandatory. PSI are therefore issued in English language only.
