Elkem produces metals and materials
Elkem is one of the world’s leading companies for environment-friendly production of metals and materials. Its principal products are silicon, solar cell silicon, special alloys for the foundry industry, microsilica, carbon and energy. Elkem is making a big commitment to the solar power industry. Operating revenues in 2008 are NOK 8,9 billion. Elkem has 2,900 employees (per 2008-12-31).
