US, York, SC Facilities Manager (2022-55)


Under broad direction, the incumbent in this senior-level position will be responsible for overseeing the management of the York and ESAS facilities.  This will include direct management of our maintenance and Instrument & Electrical teams.  This position will ensure maintenance/upkeep of our facilities, champion efforts to improve plant operations, work with the teams to ensure plant equipment are repaired efficiently while leading activities to reduce equipment downtime through effective use of preventative as well as predictive maintenance concepts.  This individual will also work with the engineering team to manage plant capital related projects. As a key member of the York site, this individual will also be expected to lead and promote efforts to continually improve every facet of the site’s operation.



  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 10 years of related engineering experience in chemical industry preferred or experience in other manufacturing, especially if it was a batch processing environment. Inclusive of strong knowledge of HVAC systems as well as manufacturing equipment knowledge.
  • Prior experience of at least 5 years managing a team as well as overseeing contractor relationships. Experience leading and developing team member skills and with all aspects of people management.
  • Self-starter, capable of working independently with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Advanced knowledge in all aspects of welding, fabrication, electrical and electronics, mechanical assemblies and engineering, and general construction.
  • Knowledge of local building, electrical, and plumbing codes.
  • Strong project management experience is required.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Process Safety Management regulation and its impact on the process and equipment is desired.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing tools including 6S, Autonomous Maintenance, SMED is desired.
  • Knowledge of silicone chemistry and the equipment and production processes used to manufacture these products is desired.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and to be effective within a matrix organization is required.
  • Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. Knowledge of SAP Management Software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of computers and networks is desired. Experience with maintenance management systems a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of contracts and experience in negotiation of contracts.
