Elkem invests NOK 30 Million in Bremanger

Elkem Bremanger has been allocated more than NOK 30 Million to build a new installation that will be producing additive materials to the world’s foundry industry. The additive materials bring forward the right features in cast iron parts. The additives are being used in windmills, cars and household products like frying pans. Elkem is world leading in this market segment.

The investment is the biggest in 25 years within the foundry products area, and the installation will be ready during 2011.

"This investment contributes to secure this business’ future and many workplaces through a significant lift in dividend and energy utilization", says Plant Manager of Elkem Bremanger Foundry Products, Robin Ephithite.
