Elkem received three A.F.S. Awards at CastExpo’13

Elkem Foundry Products, a leading producer and supplier of high-performance inoculants and nodulizers for gray and ductile iron, received three awards from the American Foundry Society at the Society’s CastExpo and Metalcasting Congress in St. Louis on April 6-9, 2013.

At a luncheon on April 7, the American Foundry Society’s Cast Iron Division’s presented Elkem with its Group Service Award, recognising Elkem for its work for the Division and the Society. Kevin McMahon, Elkem’s Field Account Manager, accepted the award on behalf of Elkem.

At the same luncheon, the Cast Iron Division presented its Outstanding Individual Service Award to Mike Riabov, Elkem’s new Field Account Manager. The award recognizes Mr. Riabov’s many years of dedication to the Cast Iron Division while working for Neenah Foundry and now Elkem.

On April 9, the American Foundry Society presented its Award of Scientific Merit to Doug White, Elkem’s Technical Service Manager, “for his contributions to the industry through practical research and sharing this information to further the knowledge of the cast iron industry.”

Elkem has a technical-sales organization in the United States, Canada, and throughout the world as well as a customer research-and-development team in Norway that specializes in providing technical assistance and support to its foundry customers. As part of that effort, Elkem enthusiastically supports the American Foundry Society and its technical program.
