Silgrain® CG

The unique Silgrain® process, a leaching process developed by Elkem in the late 1960’s, provides a silicon powder of high homogeneity in chemistry, size and grain structure.

Silgrain® CG is a silicon powder containing minimum 99 % Si.

The main applications for Silgrain® CG are as raw material in the production of trichlorosilane for production of polysilicon used in the electronic and solar industry, as alloying element in aluminium and as raw material in the ceramic industry.

The typical size of Silgrain® CG is 0.2-0.8 mm. Our Silgrain® CG 0.2-0.8 mm has a very low content of fines. Particle size distributions can be supplied upon request.

Silgrain® CG can be delivered in 1000 kg big bags. Other non-standard packaging on request.
