NYKAT is a new catalyst without organic tin compounds used for standard condensation curing silicones RTV-2 for molding applications. Some of the organic tin compounds that are used as catalysts for the condensation reaction for the RTV 2 are now restricted in use due to their toxicity. By developing this new catalyst system which is absolutely free of tin compounds, Elkem Silicones is contributing to create a safer work environment for our customers.
