US, York, SC - Accountant

We are currently looking for an Accountant at our York, SC location.

DESCRIPTION

This individual is responsible for performing general accounting activities, including the completion of the bank reconciliations and sales and use tax filings.  They will need to compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and the documenting of business transactions.  This position will provide support for internal and external audits.  

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor of Science degree in accounting or equivalent.
• 5 to 7 years of related experience in mid-size company preferable
• Good working knowledge of US GAAP required, IFRS desired
• Strong analytical skills
• Advanced Excel knowledge and working knowledge of other MS Office
• Good working knowledge of sales and use tax required
• SAP experience desired
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, particularly written.
• Detail oriented, with proven organizational, multi-tasking abilities and ability to work independently and with a team
