Bluestar Silicones announces silicone price increases in Europe and the Americas
Bluestar Silicones today announced a price increase across its silicone product portfolio for customers in Europe and the Americas, effective immediately or as existing contractual terms permit. The adjustment ranges from approximately 5% to 25%, depending on products and market sectors.
“We recognize the impact of pricing decisions on our customers and have taken this step only after sustained efforts to offset rising costs,” said Wentao Lian, deputy general manager of the Silicones Division. “It will allow us to protect the reliability and quality our customers expect while maintaining the investments needed to support their future growth.”
The adjustment reflects sustained increases across the company’s cost base. Raw materials and chemical intermediates remain at elevated levels, while utilities, packaging, manufacturing, freight and transportation costs continue to place pressure on operations. Bluestar Silicones has sought to limit these impacts through operational efficiencies and disciplined cost management, but the accumulated increases can no longer be fully absorbed.
The company is continuing its investment program to strengthen manufacturing capabilities, security of supply, product quality and innovation across its markets.
Bluestar Silicones representatives will contact customers directly to discuss how the adjustment applies to their specific products and contractual arrangements.
