New Gender Equality Index

The Gender Equality Index is one of several measures in the Professional Futures law of September 2018 the 5th aimed at eliminating wage inequalities between women and men. 

It is calculated using five indicators:    

  1. The gender pay gap, (37/40)
  2. The distribution gap for individual increases, (20/20)
  3. The distribution gap for promotions, (15/15)
  4. The number of female employees increased on their return from maternity leave, (15/15)
  5. Parity among the top 10 pay. (5/10)

Companies must reach the minimum result of 75/100, otherwise they have three years to implement corrective actions.
