PURESIL™ silicone elastomer gels for exacting requirements

Our PURESIL™ range of silicone elastomer gels falls into three categories, depending on the carrier fluid.

Our PURESIL™ elastomers in organic oil carriers use a C13–15 alkane carrier derived from a sustainable sugarcane feedstock, and with an ISO 16128 natural index of ≥0.8, to meet the needs of the more environmentally-conscious consumer:

• PURESIL™ ORG 01 provides a ‘glow’ effect for healthy, young-looking skin, along with an SPF boost and compatibility with organics
• PURESIL™ ORG 02 contains silica for improved sebum absorption on oily skin, along with a powdery feel and a soft-focus, matte finish
• PURESIL™ ORG 03 has non-gelling liquid consistency that enhances spreadability, hydration and glow, and reduces white cast. It also enhances curl, maximizes shine, and reduces frizz when used in hair conditioning products.

Our PURESIL™ elastomers in dimethicone carriers use a variety of dimethicones as the carrier, providing a range of desirable sensory properties:

• PURESIL™ BSG-200, BSG-200S and BSG-5041 use a non-volatile dimethicone carrier, giving them long-lasting sensory properties and an excellent wrinkle-masking and SPF-boosting effect
• PURESIL™ D-308 uses a semi-volatile dimethicone, giving it very good spreadability, and a light and delicate feel – making it an ideal replacement for D5
• PURESIL™ BSG-650DF uses a blend of volatile and non-volatile dimethicones, giving added shine, a lasting moisturizing feel, and compatibility with organics.

 

Our PURESIL™ elastomers in cyclomethicone carriers include either D5 or D6 carrier for a classic silky-smooth feel:

• PURESIL™ BSG-250 uses a blend of D5 and a non-volatile dimethicone, providing a soft yet powdery feel and an excellent wrinkle-masking effect
• PURESIL™ BSG-350, BSG-5040 and BSG-5045 use D5 carrier for a residue-free application and a powdery, smooth feel. BSG-5040 and BSG-5045 are also good for wrinkle-masking and as thickening agents
• PURESIL™ CHM 01 uses D6 carrier, for a non-greasy skin feel and a longer playtime.
